Rob & Diane have been in the Bay area for over a year and have established themselves as the No.1 Swing Dance instructors in the Bay Area, as noted by San Francisco Magazine "Best of San Francisco" January 1998 issue!

As choreographers, they have developed routines for Stanford University, corporate videos several dance troupes and schools.They share the joy of dance by continuing to work with kids at local schools.

Since establishing themselves in the Bay Area, they now teach at 4 different venues each week, have many private students and travel to Europe (5 times this year alone!) to teach and perform at dance camps. They were the opening act for President Clinton in San Francisco and have their own dance troupe, "Jump Cats Rhythm Revue" comprised of 26 dancers. They have sought out, studied and danced with the original dance masters of the swing era and continue to inspire a whole new generation of dancers.

Rob and Diane have been featured often in the media due to the success of their Wednesday night classes at Broadway Studios which brings in 200-300 students each week.

Rob has been involved in Swing for over 14 years touring Europe and the U.S. extensively the last 6 years. His expertise as a choreographer,producer, performer and teacher in the dances of the swing era hasbrought him several titles, such as California State and National Champion. Rob was inducted into the "California Swing Dance Hall of Fame" in 1993 and he has been nominated for the prestigious 'Feather Award' in both 1995 and 1996.

Diane Thomas, an accomplished and natural dancer herself, started to swing dance three years ago. She won her first two dance competitions and brings her exuberant, striking personality with a great smile to the swing world.

Rob & Diane have been partners since 1996. They teach and perform around the world such dances as: Charleston, St. Louis & Collegiate Shag, Balboa, Boogie Woogie and of course, the Lindy Hop -- the original Jitterbug.
